Gingerbread 101: Royal Icing
Do you watch holiday gingerbread competitions on television and wonder, "How do they DO that?!?" Learn all the secrets from a gingerbread professional.
In this first episode of our masterclass, Lindsey's Craft Studio will teach you everything you need to know about how to work with royal icing for gingerbread construction. If you want to practice, you'll need to have a pre-mixed batch of royal icing already ready to go before the class begins. Instructions for how to do this will appear in the event page as it gets closer.
You'll learn how to make really stiff icing for house glue, medium icing for small details, and color flow icing for icicles and other important decorations. You will also watch a demonstration on how to make the coolest royal icing evergreen trees! (Pictured in the event banner.)
$10 covers the cost of instruction. Ideal for ages 12 and up.
