About the Studio
Photos coming soon!
Our sunny crafting space is located at 106 South Colony Street in the heart of downtown Wallingford, just a short walk away from dozens of amazing locally owned bars, shops and restaurants. There is ample FREE parking on Prince Street, which is a one-way street that crosses right by our front door. We also have a few spaces directly in our parking lot, which is also one way- should our lot be full, exit carefully back onto Prince Street to find another space. We ask that you please do not block the driveway or any of the cars parked near the dumpster… we have lovely neighbors and they have places to be sometimes!
We highly suggest allowing an extra few minutes for parking before your class. We cannot hold the start of class for late arrivals. If you are visiting any of the restaurants on Center Street for dinner prior to party time, you CAN leave your car there and walk over! Just add an extra 5-10 mins to your journey.
Please plan to arrive 15 minutes or so before the start of class to get checked in, seated and settled. Classes start promptly at the time stated.
Inside the studio, we have a class capacity of 40 seats that are arranged family style- two long tables to encourage conversation and making new friends while you create! Please arrive early if you have a large group that wishes to sit together, as all seating is first come, first served and seating is never assigned.
Worried about not being able to see? Don’t be! We have a screen at the back of the room to make sure even the furthest seats are front row to the action so everyone has a great view of their instructor and the scheduled activity.
Craft classes can be messy, so we also suggest a casual dress code and wearing clothes you don’t care too much about. Classes without a paint, resin or permanent marker component do not carry this suggestion and you may dress as fancy as you like. (Bead/jewelry classes, knitting or crochet, sewing, think “dry” art!")
All of our classes are adults-only, 21+ unless otherwise noted. We do offer family classes on the weekends and teen classes throughout the month! For these activities, every minor child in attendance must be accompanied by an adult. Due to limited space, everyone attending must purchase a seat, even if they are solely there to assist a child. Thank you for understanding!
Directions and Maps:
Comprehensive directions are coming soon! We are not officially open yet.
Food and Drink:
Lindsey’s Craft Studio is a BYOE (bring your own EVERYTHING) establishment. We provide supplies solely for the craft activity at hand. If you require cutlery, cups/glasses, ice, etc, please bring them with you to your event.
That being said, think small! If a food item can fit in one hand while you’re working on your craft with the other one, it’s probably the perfect size. Small bites and snacks are the way to go!
If you choose to bring alcohol into the studio, you are required to consume responsibly. BRING YOUR ID. Loud or disruptive guests who are disturbing the peace of other paying customers may be asked to leave the studio at any time during class, with no refund or recourse. For the safety of staff and all of our customers, visibly intoxicated guests may also be turned away at the door prior to the start of class.
Accessibility:
As this is an older building, there is unfortunately no existing ramp structure available to wheelchair users to enter the facility. There is a 3” step up into the front door; please be aware of this when planning your visit.
The studio itself is all one level floor with no stairs. Chairs can easily be removed to accommodate special seating.
Please inform your instructor before purchasing tickets to any event if you require any accommodations, and we will see what we can do for you so you have the best experience possible. Or we may be able to better advise a different class on our calendar that will suit your needs.
One accessible restroom with handrails located near the front door.
Lindsey’s Craft Studio welcomes all Service Animals who are trained to perform specific health-related tasks as required by the ADA. Pets and non-service animals/Emotional Support Animals are not allowed in studio. Please leave them at home.
At this time, as Lindsey is the only instructor, we do not have any additional staff who can physically stand with you and help you with the tasks needed to complete our crafts. Lindsey does travel around the room to check on everyone periodically, but please be advised that those who are not able to complete fine motor tasks without assistance must have their own aide present for the duration of class. As space is limited, everyone in attendance must purchase a seat, even if they are attending solely to assist.
